Planned Preventative Maintenance
Maintenance is the most cost effective way to ensure that your doors continue to work safely and to optimal efficiency. Our contract maintenance programmes not only ensure the avoidance and development of costly faults but also ensures that the doors operate effectively and meet all relevant health and safety obligations.
We can advise on the frequency of visits required which will be dependent upon the use of the door. Maintenance programmes are available for any make of door.
All automatic doors have to be serviced at 6 monthly intervals to meet the BS7036 British standards Health and safety requirements; we will service and repair any make of equipment. After carrying out a service any repairs or defects found will be submitted to the customer by a written quotation. A worksheet can be left on site if requested, and a BS7036 certificate can be left on site.
The BS7036 test will be conducted at an agreed interval and when certificate issued will ensure that your automatic doors comply with the above standard when in the worst case an accident occurs.
No matter how well the equipment has been designed, manufactured, installed, commissioned and maintained the possibility for failure cannot be ignored.
All Access Solutions Northern engineers take the automatic door suppliers association's competency exam, which gives them authorisation to carry out maintenance in compliance with British Standards, particularly BS7036 (1996) safety at powered doors for pedestrian use Health and Safety regulations.
All our engineers are CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Health and Safety registered door system engineers.
